In The Deep was in spired by the hidden beauty beneath the surface of the sea. It is a vibrant comntemporary artwork inspried by shapes textures and colours found in nature. Organic forms, layered colour and flowing lines combine to create a sense of depth, movement and discovery.

The artwork envites the viewer to slow down and explore its details, revealing new shapes and relationships each time it is viewed. Rich coral, blush, terracotta and turquoise tones create warmth and energy while maintaining a sense of calm.

What I love about this piece

This painitng has a cpontemporary feel but still draws inspiration from the natural world, making it both expressive and easy to live with.

 

The painting was created from memories of deep sea diving with my husband on the Great Barrier Reef years ago. My memories of the soft corals swaying in the tide come back each time I look at it. 

​

It's palette pairs particularly well with natural timbers, soft neutrals, textured fabrics and earthy finishes.

As both interior designer and artist, I create artwork that not only stands on it's own but also enhances the spaces in which it is displayed. My work is inspired by colour, nature and the way art can transform a room and create emotional connection with a home.
